CPDFlow Help

Quick reference Your subscription determines the quality of PDF reports CPDFlow can generate. During your free trial — and if your subscription lapses — reports are limited to a one-page watermarked preview. An active subscription unlocks full multi-page reports.

12.1 Accessing your subscription

Select the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar to open Settings, then select the Subscription tab.

12.2 Free trial

All new accounts start on a free trial. During the trial you have full access to CPDFlow’s planning, tracking, and review features. Report generation is available but outputs are limited to a one-page watermarked preview.

The Subscription page shows:

  • How many days remain in your trial
  • The date your trial ends
  • A Subscribe to CPDFlow button to activate a full subscription at any time

12.3 Subscribing

  1. On the Subscription page, select Subscribe to CPDFlow
  2. You will be taken to the Stripe-hosted checkout page
  3. Enter your card details — if you have a promotion code, enter it in the field on the Stripe checkout page
  4. Confirm payment

After payment, you are returned to the Subscription page. The page will update to show your active subscription within a few seconds as the payment is confirmed.

Subscribing during your trial

If you subscribe while your free trial is still active, no payment is taken immediately. The Stripe checkout page will confirm this — it shows your trial end date as the date your first charge will occur.

Until that date, your Subscription page shows a “pre-payment period” view:

  • Your current trial / pre-payment period (ends on your trial end date)
  • Your first annual subscription year (begins on your trial end date and runs for 12 months)
  • The date your first payment will be charged

Your 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date of that first payment, not from the date you entered your card. See §12.5 — 14-day cooling-off period for details.

12.4 Active subscription

When your subscription is active the Subscription page shows a green status card with:

  • Your next renewal date
  • A Manage payment & invoices button — opens the Stripe Customer Portal
  • A Cancel subscription button

Managing your payment method

Select Manage payment & invoices to open the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab. From there you can:

  • Update your credit or debit card
  • Download PDF invoices for any past payment
  • View your full billing history

12.5 14-day cooling-off period

All CPDFlow subscriptions include a statutory 14-day cooling-off period. During this period you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund, no questions asked.

When the cooling-off period starts:

  • If you subscribed and paid immediately — the cooling-off period begins on the date of your first payment.
  • If you subscribed during your free trial — the cooling-off period begins on the date your trial ends and your first payment is collected.

When the cooling-off period ends: Your Subscription page displays the exact date your cooling-off period expires in the subscription details. The date is also confirmed in your payment receipt email.

How to exercise your right to cancel: Contact support@cpdflow.com within the cooling-off period. Include your account email address and a brief note that you would like to cancel under the cooling-off right. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

After the cooling-off period ends, the standard cancellation terms apply — your subscription continues until the end of the current billing period. There is no refund for unused time after the cooling-off period has passed. See §12.6 — Cancelling your subscription.

12.6 Cancelling your subscription

Select Cancel subscription on the Subscription page and confirm the prompt. You will be asked to provide a brief reason — this helps us improve the product.

What happens after cancellation:

  • Your subscription is not ended immediately — access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • The status card updates to an amber “Subscription cancelling” state showing the date access ends
  • After that date, reports revert to a one-page watermarked preview

You can undo this at any time before the billing period ends — see §12.7 — Reactivating your subscription below.

12.7 Reactivating your subscription

If you have cancelled but your billing period has not yet ended, you can reactivate:

  1. On the Subscription page, select Reactivate subscription
  2. Your subscription resumes auto-renewing as normal

There is no charge to reactivate — your existing billing period continues unchanged.

12.8 Renewing after your subscription lapses

If your subscription ends (either because you cancelled and the period expired, or because a payment could not be collected), the Subscription page shows a red “Subscription ended” card.

To renew, select Subscribe to CPDFlow and complete checkout. A new annual subscription will begin from the date of payment.

12.9 Payment failure

If a renewal payment fails, the Subscription page shows a red “Payment failed” card. Your access is not immediately removed — Stripe will retry the payment automatically over several days.

To resolve the issue immediately, select Update payment method to open the Stripe Customer Portal and update your card details.

12.10 Billing history

If you have made any payments, a Billing history table appears below the status card showing all your invoices:

ColumnDescription
Invoice #Your invoice reference number (e.g. ABCD1234-001)
DateWhen the invoice was paid
PeriodThe subscription period the invoice covers
AmountAmount charged (including any applicable tax)
Statuspaid, open, or other status
PDFDownload link for the invoice PDF

Select PDF to download a copy of any invoice. Invoices are also available via the Stripe Customer Portal (Manage payment & invoices).

Your invoice reference number is in the format {account-code}-{sequence}, where {account-code} is the unique 8-character code assigned to your account (visible on the Subscription page) and {sequence} is the invoice number within your account. For example, your first invoice will be ABCD1234-001, your second will be ABCD1234-002, and so on.

12.11 Reports during trial or after subscription ends

When your account is on a trial or your subscription has lapsed, PDF reports are limited to a one-page watermarked preview. The watermark reads “Trial Subscription” or “Expired Subscription” depending on your status.

A banner at the top of the Reports page indicates your current status and links to the Subscription page.

If you previously generated a full report under an active subscription and then attempt to regenerate it while on a trial or expired subscription, CPDFlow will warn you before proceeding — the new version will replace the full-quality report with a restricted preview. You are given the option to download your existing full report first.

12.12 Frequently asked questions

If I subscribe during my trial, when does my annual subscription actually start? Your annual subscription begins on the date your free trial ends — that is also when your first payment is collected. No payment is taken when you enter your card details. The Stripe checkout page confirms the exact charge date before you complete the checkout.

When does my 14-day cooling-off period start? From the date of your first payment — not from when you entered your card. If you subscribed during your trial, the cooling-off period starts on your trial end date (when your first payment is collected), not on the date you went through checkout.

Can I get a refund? Within the 14-day cooling-off period, yes — a full refund is available on request. Contact support@cpdflow.com with your account email. After the cooling-off period, subscriptions are non-refundable for unused time, though you retain full access until the end of your billing period. See §12.5 for full details.

Will I be notified before my subscription renews? Yes — Stripe sends an email reminder before each annual renewal.

I have a promotion code — where do I enter it? Enter your promotion code on the Stripe checkout page when subscribing. There is a dedicated promotion code field on that page.

Can I switch to a different plan? CPDFlow currently offers a single annual subscription plan. Contact support@cpdflow.com if you have specific requirements.

What is the invoice reference number? Each invoice is assigned a unique reference in the format {account-code}-{sequence} (e.g. ABCD1234-001). Your account code is visible on the Subscription page. Use this reference when contacting support about a specific invoice.

My subscription is active but my reports still show a watermark — what should I do? Try refreshing the Reports page. If the watermark persists, contact support@cpdflow.com with your account email.

I cancelled — can I still use CPDFlow until my period ends? Yes. Full access (including full report generation) continues until the end of your current billing period, even after cancelling.
